2007 Vancouver, Washington Cast (Workshop Production)


(Nephi) Dale Zabriskie has played leading roles in productions of Guys and Dolls, How To Succeed in Business, Oklahoma, 1776, and Fantastiks as well as major roles in Fiddler on the Roof, Brigadoon, My Fair Lady, Kiss Me Kate, King and I, and Music Man. His professional theatrical background includes work acting in two summer stock companies, directing for regional theatre, and producing for Lex de Azevedo’s Embryo Music’s vocal artists Kenneth Cope, Michael Webb, and Julie de Azevedo. Though Dale’s career is in corporate training and executive briefings, his avocation is music. He served as Chair of the Music Committee of the Orlando Temple Open House and Dedication in 1994. While serving as High Councilor over music and later as a member of 3 bishoprics and Gospel Doctrine teacher, he directed the Central Florida Messiah Choir for 13 years. He is currently Stake Music Chair and conducts the Vancouver West Stake Choir. Using his twenty-plus years in professional broadcasting and voice-over work, Dale has also served as “the voice” or narrator for the Portland Mormon Choir and Orchestra.

(Young Nephi) Grant Zabriskie has played roles in productions of West Side Story, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and How to Succeed in Business. He was a featured solo performer at BYU’s Young Ambassador’s Singer Entertainer Workshop for two years and served a summer-long mission to Nauvoo as a Young Performing Missionary. He completed two years of college as a music/vocal performance major in Orlando, singing with a number of choirs before embarking on his two-year mission to Tokyo, Japan. Grant has performed at Disney World as an accomplished vocal percussionist and a cappella enthusiast. He is pursuing a degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development at Brigham Young University and sings with BYU’s Vocal Point.

(Lehi) Bill Meyer is a proud father of six children. Now that they are all grown Rozie and Bill have lots of time to work on things that they have always wanted to do. His desires are to pursue his singing talents and work to “find his voice.” His life's work is in the trees and tree care with a degree in plant science. His job as a truck driver pays the bills and allows Bill to see over the other drivers! Bill currently sings with the Portland Mormon Choir and was a featured soloist in their December 2005 concert.

(The Angel) Dan Webb has participated in a variety of performances including the musicals,Guys and Dolls, Hello Dolly, and West Side Story. He attended Brigham Young University where he was actively involved in BYU Singers as well as several opera ensembles including Carmen and Gianni Schicchi. Dan and his wife, Rebecca have a beautiful one-year-old son named McKay. Dan currently spends most of his time building and expanding a chain of pet stores in the Portland area called, Nature's Pet, which he co-owns.

(Laman) Matt Erickson was born in Libby, Montana to a musically talented family of eleven. He grew up singing in church and school choirs and was active in theater. After serving a mission in Uruguay, Matt attended Ricks College where he pursued a music degree. While at Ricks he sang with the Ricks College A cappella Choir and served as choir president. Matt was also active in musical theatre and opera. He then continued his musical and theatrical studies at Central Washington University where he received a degree in Spanish with a minor in choral conducting. Matt currently sings with the Portland Mormon Choir and Orchestra in which he serves as section leader and has performed as a soloist. Matt resides in Vancouver with his wife and 3 children and enjoys camping, boating and photography. His kids joined him on stage in the production.

(Lemuel) David Blanchard lives in Vancouver with his wonderful wife and six children. David works full time as a physical therapist, and spends most of his free time assisting his wife with the homeschooling of their family. As a high school senior, he starred in a production of Anything Goes. He was also involved in a production of Guys and Dolls, and several other church theatrical productions. David enjoys singing, participates in choirs whenever he can, and dabbles in piano from time to time. His plans include gaining more skill and experience in music as time permits, and inspiring his children to expand their talents in this arena. All of his children participated in the production.

(Sam) Elnathan Eldredge the 5th is very proud to of his name derived from a rich family heritage. He was born in Salt Lake, moved to Jerome, Idaho, when he was 5, and then to Battle Ground at age 10. Elnathan is the oldest of seven and was home-schooled from kindergarten to the 10th grade, then graduated in 2002 from Battle Ground High School. He served a full-time mission in Kiev, Ukraine and has served as Institute President this year for the Vancouver region. Elnathan’s favorite pastimes include: weight-lifting, sports, singing, most things outdoors, and having fun! Some of his future goals include getting married in the temple and becoming a doctor of physical therapy.

(Sariah) Elizabeth Rhodes Call has performed in many church and community choirs. Solo performances include church, community and family events. She and her sweet husband, Kip have seven wonderful children, including three step-children and five grandchildren. Elizabeth loves guitar, calligraphy, dance, designing modest clothing, hiking, sports, camping and Motherhood. She is also the president and co-owner of Nothing Bare Clothing and an IOP Drug and Alcohol CADC counselor.

(Wife of Nephi) Michelle Killian returned from a mission to Santiago, Chile in 2007 and will graduate in 2008 with a degree in Community Health from Brigham Young University. Michelle has performed in Nauvoo as a Young Performing Missionary and with the touring group, Latter-day Sounds as well as BYU’s Women’s Chorus. She taught in N.H. at Brewster Academy in the Thai Scholar Program, and interned with the National Safe Kids Coalition: Children’s National Medical Center promoting Child Safety legislation in Washington, DC. In 2001 she was a soloist at Disneyland for the California Distinguished Schools Conference and for former Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia. She sang with the La Jolla U.M. Choir on a concert tour in Spain and during her mission was assigned to use her voice as a missionary tool by singing at every mission meeting or event.
